Quick report
Wow can I be observant, both in life and when selecting photos for an Obs upload. Apparently I was drooling so much over an untouched powdery Hogsback, Pearly Gates, Old Chute etc, that I completely missed what appears to be a bunch of blocky debris crossing climbers path to lower Hogsback (incl low point where people transition) and down into the fumarole. At least that’s what a better pic looks like to me and happens to be aspect-consistent w recent crown reporting from the northside. I’ve long wondered about the risk of that pitch. Good to know to be especially careful to avoid when active loading, winds knocking triggers loose, loose wet initiated etc regardless of established track. Especially w fumarole terrain trap.
Avalanche
Apparent Large Avy coming off NE side of Crater Rock apparently crossed over climbers track to ascend onto lower Hogsback a continued down to fumarole.
