Quick report

New snow on old, crusty snow. 4-6" in depth, up to 10-12" in drifts in west aspects of hidden lakes peak. Broke trail to summit, no slabs observed but cornices present and dry drifted snow at summit ridge. Excellent skiing without incident to 5000ft, then triggered D0.5 wet loose at 5000ft skiing down constriction to Sibley creek. Snow sticky and wet below 5000ft after 1pm. No direct sunlight all day.

Overcast and poor visibility above 6000ft.

Snowpack

4-6" new snow on old snow across elevations traveled. Dry snow above 6000ft. Snow melting and becoming sticky after 1pm below 5000ft. Transitional between 5-6k. Cornices present at 7000ft ridge. Wind transport at ridges, but no wind slab formation.
