Quick report
Below 4000' there was mixed snow and rain from 8am to 2pm. The snow was heavily saturated. Nearly every turn produced pinwheels that would run down the slope until they were knee to waist tall. In the 4000-4600' band the snow was wet but we didn't observe clear signs of instability. Visibility was obscured and we couldn't gauge overhead hazard so we chose to turn somewhere around 4600'.
Avalanche
We wrapped around the valley on the western/north western side of Kendall peak where my partner and I observed a half dozen or so loose wet debris piles with start zones NTL around 4600'-5000'.
