Quick report
With the intent of skiing Mt Ann we toured from Mt Baker parking lot to the mountain via Austin pass. Group dynamics and unfamiliarity of route slowed the pace so we only made to to the basin below Ann. Observed extensive fresh to 24h avalanche activity everywhere. Very hot in the canyon and basin below Huntoon/Shuksan Arm. Many creeks opening but able to easily find crossings. Still a deep snowpack, >330cm at turnaround. Should have started earlier.
Avalanche
Sz 1 to 3 wet slab and wet loose on all aspects. Heard/visualized afterward a cornice fall triggering a Sz 2 off Anette.
