Pattee Canyon

Did a quick hand put test on a south facing slope and I was surprised to find the new snow consolidating into a more cohesive slab than unexpected. This was sitting on an icy layer right at ground level. I observed what I believe to be a couple of smaller fresh avalanches on the steeper slopes on thf hills/mountains south east of the pattee canyon forest road (around Deer Creek Peak).
