Quick report
The structure in the upper snowpack is weak, made up of crusts that may not support much new snow. Additional new snow may amplify the current dry loose problem.
The only instability we saw, was within the upper foot of the snow pack that was dry and loose. We saw very small shallow harmless, D-1 point release on the west northwest aspect.Weather

Light SW wind and very light snow, dark and cloudy initially with a little bit of light to the South...improved as we departed around 2pm.
Snowpack
Snow pack tests showed good stability with failures in compression not propagating in extended column tests. The rain crust from 1/5, is buried about a foot down, is showing signs of breaking down due extensively due to the cold temps. At this rate it could disappear soon and may just be lumped in with the loose snow above and below it-there are facets that are around the crust.
