Quick Observation

Very windy (N-NW) with poor vis today. Lots of snow Transport happening at higher elevations. We experienced one large wumpf on a S facing slopeshortly before digging the pit around 1550M but didn't hear another all day. Got some small storm slabs to release on W facing convexities below thar's summit around 1800M but nothing else as we skied S slopes back down to the pipeline right-of-way.

Snowpack

The recent storm snow (~30cm) was unconsolidated at the pit location and yielded no results. All results were on a deeper facet/crust combo down 70cm. We got the following results: CTM16(sp) down 70. ECTH27(sp) down 70. I included 4 photos showing the 90x30x70cm slab sliding out during the ECT. Wish I could include a video!
