Quick Observation

Skied the slide path today, fairly tracked out lower section with the alpine offering a variety of powder skiing. Ran a couple laps on the slide path & from a section of the ridge. Big terrain up there, probed the entirety of the ridge while skinning as the cornices are mighty & looming. -32 at the car @ 9am warmed to -14 by 1pm. Moderate wind transport, of important note** currently blowing from the NE, loading SW features. Wind is currnelty opposing the prevailing cornice direction d/t artic vortex, I would assume. Overall excellent skiing, busy day with a dozen parties making their way up as we descended. Large surface hoar making an appearance below treeline. Evidence of tiny dry loose slides up to size 0.sluff off steep alpine features & a sz 1 wind slab on a purely Southern aspect that covered some recent (<48hr) downtracks. It appeared to have released from an unsupported, convex rocky prominence at 2300m & ran 50 odd meters.
