Smart Ridge

Today during an AST 2 we skied Smart Ridge. On the way up we found rugged dust on crust conditions below 1200m, and hard windslab at tree-line (ski crampons would help for both). The avalanche path was mostly hard bed surface, although there was some soft snow on the sides. - If you’re going to Flat Creek, please use the designated access route under the bridge (NOT over the tracks) or we may all lose access to this area!
