Purple Knob Christmas Eve Ski

Witnessed a class 3 avalanche on hero’s knob south face, started at the top and went right to the bottom of the mountain. Evidence of class 1 slab avalanches in essentially every bowl. Quick field test suggested a pretty unstable snowpack that slabbed off with ease. Stuck to the trees and spent the a fun early afternoon skiing the ski out.
