The rain-snow line was at 1200m with some decent riding above. We expected to see new avalanches after yesterday's rain and overnight strong winds but we didn't see any, just some pinwheeling below 1200m. That means the load is continuing to build over the January Crust - Surface Hoar and December Facets. The January Crust-Surface Hoar combination is showing up in some profiles and not others while the December Facets are very obvious at the bottom of the snowpack. With this in mind and limited visibility, we stayed on mellow slopes not connected to steep Alpine features.
