Quick Observation
8:00am start from the car park air temp was around -16, S-1 along the lake and up through the canyon travel was not too bad. Through the canyon SH buried 1-2 cm 1-3 mm, under 2 cm of new fist snow. 2150m 2 cm F , overlying a 4f + thin breakable crust beginning to facet with mainly facets below but I didn’t stop to dig too much in tree line. Up on the glacier at about 1030 we were blessed with mod gusting to extreme winds with S-1 < S1 which made for slow travel across the glacier with not much glide on the skins. Probed in a couple spots on our travels depths on the glacier ranged from 125-200 cm.
