Skied a very mellow program on the east facing slopes behind Evening Ridge. Up to 20cm of recent storm snow (4F) overlies the Jan 28th surface hoar and melt freeze crust. This new snow is reactive to skier traffic in steeper terrain and convex features below treeline and I suspect it would be on all aspects BTL and at TL. The bond between the new snow and the SH/MFcr is poor to non-existent. We gave anything over 25 degrees a hard pass today given the touchy conditions.
Multiple natural size 1's on all aspects TL/BTL propagating up to 20m in prominent features such as the Whale's Back and Evening Ridge North.
On our ski out via a southerly aspect, surface snow was moist below 1800m with temp sitting at 0 at 1800m.
