45cm of storm snow from Wednesdays storm overlaying old variable surface on know-to-be cross loaded slope. Climbed up the south slope which was getting heavy due to climbing so decided to ski north facing slope. Snow was excellent however a storm slab had formed and was triggered by first skier. Skier was able to stay on his feet for the most part and ski to the outside of slide before getting swept up and losing a ski. Skier stayed on the surface and was uninjured. Poor slope choice by our group, due to prospect of powder.
