Hanging Lake Test Pit

Dug a quick 90cm deep test pit on a W aspect on a ridge above Hanging Lake. HS 210cm. CTM (SP) at 20cm deep within the storm snow. The storm snow hardness was F. Continuing with the CT test, we got a CTH30 (RP) at 45cm deep. The snow between 45cm deep and 25cm deep was 1F hardness. There was significant sluffing while skiing steep micro terrain features. We also noticed a 4F weak layer at 85cm down.
