Beautiful day on Rainbow. Skied the Northwestern face towards Beverley Lake. We saw evidence of a widespread natural cycle of Loose Dry, slab and cornice avalanche from the past 24-48 hours. Most snow was crusty or wind effected with some pockets of powder to be found.
Snow conditions were: Crusty, Wet, Wind affected. Weather conditions were: Sunny, Windy. We rode: Alpine slopes, Convex slopes, Dense trees, Mellow slopes, Open trees, Sunny slopes. Riding quality was ok.
Avalache Conditions: Slab avalanches today or yesterday. Rapid temperature rise to near zero degrees or wet surface snow.
