We did 3 laps on the east aspect of log cabin. There was variable wind affect, wind slabs and powder on the first lap. As the day went by the snow started accumulating faster and made a noticeable difference in riding quality. The last lap was great skiing with 5-10 cm of new snow. We did not go higher up than 1100m as the trees were more open and the hard wind slabs was sounding hollow. We heard two small whoompf and turned around to enjoy lower turns.

Snow conditions were: Powder, Wind affected. Weather conditions were: Stormy. We rode: Dense trees, Mellow slopes, Open trees. We avoided: Alpine slopes. Riding quality was good.

Avalache Conditions: Whumpfing or drum-like sounds or shooting cracks.
