Observed two crowns from what appeared to be a step down avalanche in the alpine within 24hrs. Initial crown (est ~80cm down) appeared to have stepped down to a deeper surface hoar layer aprx ~150cm deep after running about 100m. This slide ran roughly 800m into the valley.
