Quick report

I left the truck around 12:30 in hopes of seeing how much wet snow developed on N aspects this afternoon. Snow coverage on the N-NE-E aspects of Tamarack Peak still extends to the parking lot and travel conditions remain relatively straight forward despite some rocks and patches of bare ground melting out in a few spots. The snow also stayed supportable into the afternoon on N-NE-E aspects. The more north-facing a slope was the more supportable the snow was. 1-2 inches of wet snow formed on the north aspects by 1:30 pm and provided soft albeit uneven surfaces on top of the supportable snowpack. The E aspects got more sun and developed closer to 3 to 4 inches of wet surface snow. By 1:45 ski cuts on steep E aspects triggered some small roller balls.

Most of the SE-S-SW-W aspects held more dirt than snow, but there were a few areas on some of the SE aspects that still had thin snow cover.
