Quick report
Overall good stability with 6-10 inches of new snow on the crust layer. Saw lots of evidence from warming event earlier in the week-roller balls, rain runnels and still saturated snow below 6000’. We traveled on west, north and south aspects from 6000-8400’. A ski cut in steep north facing terrain released a small 8 inch slab in an isolated terrain feature. It did not carry far/entrain more snow nor was it connected to surrounding terrain. We had 2-3 more small releases like this in this steep terrain feature, that although not enough to bury you, certainly big enough to tweak a knee or carry you over cliffs. Exactly what the avalanche forecast warned us about. Not a huge problem now, but these smaller slabs could grow in size with more snow and wind in the coming days and could become the size that could potentially bury you.
