at/near treeline. N/NE aspect. New snow 5-7" on top of 3" 4F slab. then 6" 1mm facets on top of 4" 1F slab. below this, 2mm facets to ground surface. Approach skin (below treeline) was mostly ground to surface facets under new snow, no slab layers.
