Quick report

Skied a few runs off Platinum Peak down the east slope. Top of west slope was wind scoured, top of east slope had some loading but was not reactive. Snow surface consisted of 4"-6" of powder. Was drier/colder higher up and on shady slopes and warmer/wetter lower down and on solar slopes. Light snow in the morning, then clearish skies, and light snow in afternoon. Winds picked up around 2pm and started moving more snow from the west slope to the east slope. Lots of stability testers out and didn't see any reactivity in our group or from others in the zone. Crust below the new snow was kind of soft which helped enhance the ski quality.

Avalanche

Wet loose - South aspect. Trigger from sun warmed snow falling off cliffs.
