Quick report
We went to Lincoln Ridge near Yuba Pass today. This area had virtually no snow on the ground a week ago and we measured HS=130cm of settling storm snow at 7600'. The new storm snow is gaining strength quickly and ski supportive with skipen of around 15-20cm. In wind loaded near treeline terrain we saw no cracking or indications that wind slabs were still unstable. Cornices were stubborn throughout this area and hard to get to collapse. When they did collapse with ski kicks, they did not cause any cracking or entrain any additional snow. Many holes down to the ground were found in drainages and near creeks with open water at the bottom. There are moderate-large amounts of snow available for transport if NE-E winds increase in speed tomorrow.

Cold temperatures this morning with clearing skies to mostly sunny by early afternoon. East wind was light along upper ridge in the late morning. Over 4 feet of storm snow on the ground in this area from the Tuesday-Friday storm.
