Cold and clear, no wind.
Snowpack
Stable snowpack with no buried weak layers of concern. The primary concern moving forward is well developed surface hoar at the snow surface. If buried,I am expecting a nasty persistent weak layer. Upper elevation hoar size is 4-5cm tall while at mid elevation or in trees, the hoar is 1-3 cm.
1.23.26 Update: Driving over LT Pass this morning there was a widespread rime event going on with potential to cap nd preserve the surface hoar. I will go out this weekend to test this theory.
