Quick report

Recreational day out trail running. The double track, for the most part, is snow covered with a few inches that's very hard packed for the first mile or so and then gets an inch or two deeper but becomes a breakable crust to the top. There are a few bare spots that are solar angled or facing directly south and some spots under denser trees that are particularly thin. The slopes do not have enough snow to ski on them and surface hoar is well developed in open areas. Overall, honestly might not be a bad option to walk up the double track if your skis need some exercise or you're skimo training but BIG heads up for lots of hazards and don't expect to get any turns in.
