Shooting cracks, whoomphing, easily broke slabs on short, steep test slopes. Too damn cold to dig ECT pit as we already planned to ski low angle slopes. Cautious travel, spaced out skiers when passing steep slopes or terrain traps.
Avalanche
Cottonwood Creek above Yurtski. 7-8K elevation. South, west and east aspects, multiple slide paths observed. Naturally triggered, appeared to be during 2/22 & 2/23 wind events. Width of Breakfast Bowl possibly 200 yards wide, difficult to tell depth of crown due to wind. Debris run out approx 50 yds into flats below slope.
