Quick report

Roller balls were very active in the zone. New recent snow was very wet, except in a few north facing slopes where it stayed cooler and drier.

Avalanche

West side of railroad grade at 6,600’ (just above Sandy Camp). 2-3’ crown. Our group ascended the rr grade ridge above the slide and dropped down to the glacier to ski the Easton. While I don’t believe we triggered the avalanche from above, it did occur that day. There were some nearby snowmobile tracks to climbers right on the slope, but none that went into the slide path.
