Toured up to a maximum of ~4700' on Kendall Knob. Signs of instability were actually fairly minimal. Cracking was limited to areas directly adjacent to skis. Hand pits showed Q2/Q3 fractures at the 1/4 or 12/30 crusts and the storm snow was not very consolidated. Signs of wind transport were present in open areas near the top of our tour, so things could be quite different at higher elevations or in more open terrain.
