Quick report

Cracking
isolated

45cm of new snow sitting on MFcr on solars and DF on shady aspects. Wind Slab: Main concern today were wind slabs at upper elevations near ridge lines. We were able to trigger a few small soft windslabs beneath corniced ridge lines. Storm Slab: Some evidence that storm slabs were turning on near the end of the day. 45cm of new snow was cracking/ small pockets were moving when undercut by ski tracks. Upper slab was F- and trended to F+ near the bottom, with some sort of density change to softer snow beneath the new snow. Didn't look to hard to try to find facets, but nothing appeared faceted under new snow. Stability felt generally good in non-wind loaded terrain.

Avalanche

Triggered 2 D1 wind slabs while stomping on ridge lines/ cornices. They were around 25cm deep and were 30' wide.
