Quick report

Climbed up to around 4300’ and decided to take advantage of the lovely snow conditions down low. Coverage was much improved but could cut down to 2/24 crust on turns. 8-12 inches of very dry snow up to 4200’ that was not well bonded to the 2/24 below. Observed minimal faceting rounds at interface. Dry snow throughout. Sun poked through in the early morning and snow started at 12 with rimed dendrites (see photos). Slightly warmer than expected. No slab activity observed but stuck to <35° slopes at lower elevation. Hand pits and ski cuts did not fail in any cohesive manner, solely dry loose activity.
