Quick report
Took everyone's advice on travel-conditions and went skating at Snoqualmie Nordic. Trails have enough coverage, grooming is plenty good for fun travel. Light snow overnight added a dusting of velvet above yesterday's various surfaces. West of the pass seemed clouded in at and below pass-elevation for much of the day, higher south-facing slopes surely got oodles of sun. Clouds broke partially as we wrapped up XC-skiing, so I tried to gain a viewpoint into the crown of yesterday's accident. The clouds didn't quite cooperate, but thin crowns were evident throughout the pass. A big thank-you to everyone who helped with yesterday's rescue. That's a long way to sled/toboggan.
