Quick report
Toured around Crystal Mountain adjacent terrain. Moderate snowfall and fairly rapid warming with moderate ridgeline winds around 12 noon. The 5-10cm of accumulating storm snow, around 10 degrees warmer than the old snow, was very reactive. Luckily the old 12-24” of old snow was solidly stable and did not react. Avalanches started around noon with a dry loose characteristic, still running 300-400 vertical feet. Our last run at 2pm started to show slab characteristics of around 6” and it was time to go. I would be doubtful of the warmer new snow bonding to the older cold snow for now.

Easily triggered dry loose trending to storm slab later as snow accumulated through the day. Definite storm slab of 6”+ on last run around 2pm.
