No signs of instability from our travels. Did see older avalanche signs and obvious wind loading signs.

Watched a natural slide occur above the hidden lakes area in portal creek. Don’t believe it was a remote trigger as we had snowmobiles parked in a safe area for around 15 minutes with no one in our party moving around before the avalanche happened. Believe to be a wind/ storm slab trigged slide. The far right face ripped first which triggered the left face thereafter. Estimated it to be around 300 feet across the crown. Was a north north east facing slope.
