- <p>20" of new snow on top of the late December rain crust. See photos. </p> <p>We dug a snow pit near whiskey hill on a NE aspect at 8,500ft which scored ECTN24 at 65cm's (20' below the surface). It was a non planer fracture on the rain crust we fell between new years and Christmas. This layer is wide spread across the range.</p>
Total snow depth was 100 to 140 cm's (40 to 55") depending on location. New snow accumulations ranged from 10 to 20" (trailhead to the high terrain).
