Mavericks + Ullrs

Likely 2/2/1 for 3/16, unles some suprise band of increased snow and winds come through.

Windloaded pockets had cracking that shot out 3ft in steep rollovers. Some cracking around tracks and kickturns, but nothing widespread. A few unsupported pockets in leeward NE terrain had avalanched naturally (30cm depth), near the bottom of Ullrs. A few ski cuts produced small pockets on steeper leeward features while descending Ullr1, but lacked energy to travel farther downhill.

Felt cascadian today. Warm and spongy snow down low in the AM, eventually the snow was denser and colder by 8,000'. Winds transporting and moving all sorts of precipitation particles (wintery mix, snow, graupel, etc.) The upper layers of the snowpack had hardness changes that were easily identified around 8,000', between 30-60cm from the surface, likely from yesterday's graupel and then the thick whipped cream which capped it today - some pooling of graupel was noted at the bottom of rollovers. Leeward aspects were loaded, some were reactive to ski cuts, and we observed a natural near the bottom of Ullrs - NE aspect mid elevations. If we were a bit higher, given the warm snow and consistent winds I would have expected more activity. Temps and snow began to cool by the afternoon, and crusts on lower elevations will be felt tomorrow roughly to 8,000'. 

The cooler temps overnight tonight should halt the Wet Slab problems at the lower elevations.
