Snowpack
Surface crusts above 6,500' varied from bullet hard sun glaze and wind board to breakable with faceted snow beneath. Between 6,500 and 5,500' on west aspect the crust disapated and the surface was mostly sugary facets. Below 5,500' the crust progressivly thinned and weakened, with faceted snow beneath, as we lost elevation.
