Our tour showed us a lot of interesting snow. Starting with our morning, we experienced soft slab that showed evident cracking on steep slopes adjacent to the Tuckerman Ravine Trail and along the Graham Trail. As we moved higher into the Gulf of Slides terrain, this trend continued with lots of soft slab formation, which showed minimal wind effect. We got cracking upon isolation in kick turns during our ascent, which aligned with our previous observation of a soft slab that had formed through the day. The snowpack below the new snow was similar to the observation on the last day (20250212). Slabs shift, soft and slow, Risk whispers on snowy slopes, Together, we go. Our day was highlighted by terrain management in the sandbox. Avoiding steep convex rolls, and well connected start zones that threatened to release large avalanches under their new load. Our day was low-lighted by warming temps and wet precip that soaked layers, regardless of their marketing to be built for wet conditions and exercise. As we exited terrain, winds were building and showing signs for potentially heightened transport. Throughout our tour we experienced cracking on isolation in kick turns and in steep test slopes. We did not experience shooting cracks other than our cracking upon isolation

Surprisingly calm... Throughout our tour we observed light winds almost all day at 1600 it was evident that the winds had ramped up. At 0930 we travelled in S-1 snowfall which climbed to S1 by 1030, from 1100-1300 we saw freezing rain falling in the form of large sintered snow grains which changed to small rimed grains, this event transitioned to fat snowflakes at 1300 S-1. From 1400-1500 we experienced S1 snowfall in the form of small precip particles.
