While digging a hand pit I experienced a 2m shooting crack down 5cm from new created surface slab from warming temps and moderate snowfall. Shooting cracks occurred on slope around 30 degrees. Lower angle terrain did not experience this. Top 5cm of snowpack becoming upside down from warming temperatures and heavy snowfall after around 3:00pm. Shooting cracks to approximately 2m.
