Quick report
While there is enough snow to ride up the forest road in Mosquito Creek, there is not enough snow to venture off the road until ~7200ft. We stopped briefly on a N - NW facing slope at 7500ft and found the snow averaged 45cm deep. A thin rain crust developed small (~1mm) surface hoar, while the rest of the snowpack consisted of small loose grains and large facets on the ground. We didn't notice any signs of instability, likely due to our relatively low elevation and extra thin snowpack.
