Quick report

Milky light, slowly gave way to blue skies at 3:00pm and later. About 50 people enjoying Sunburst. No significant red flags. Soft snow above 1600', about 15-30cm ski pen depending on aspect and elevation. Heavy wind effected powder newr ridgelines. Most notable; cornices became more sensitive with elevation. They took moderate and distinct effort to collapse on the common Sunburst uptrack up to ~3000'. Cornices were significantly more sensitive, releasing with surprisingly little force towards the east end of Sunburst ridge near the weather station. One release was unexpected and large enough to entrain sluff, release a small localized near-surface slab, and run to ~2900'.
