Quick report

Cracking
isolated

Toured up to crown point for some mellow pow turns, good coverage throughout and great skiing up high. We dug one pit on a sheltered SSE aspect at 7500’. 170cm total snow depth, 60cm from the most recent storm cycle. ECTN18 40cm down on a layer within the new snow, storm seems to have bonded well to the old crust on this aspect. Experienced a touch of cracking in the upper layers of the new snow while skinning, but couldn’t get anything to move jumping on some short steep rollovers. Visibility varied but did have some clear views and did not observe any avalanche activity other than a glide crack on Little Joe on a south facing steep rock slab.
