Quick report
The day was calm, and the warming February sun was felt even through the clouds. Rollerballs could be initiated with some effort on steep slopes, but in general there wasn't enough new snow to entrain for wet loose. Surfaces were somewhat slippery beneath the new snow on the crust. Open creeks and springs abound.

Sun was trying to poke through, but never did. Temperatures felt warm and some greenhousing seemed to be happening with low clouds and some solar energy making its way through.
Snowpack
The recently buried 'early February Crust' was stout and supportable. I found from 3-4" of recent snow above it. After some close inspection, I could find bits and pieces of buried surface hoar between new snow layers. The snow was moist though, and I couldn't get it to pop off with a tilt test. Higher elevations and shaded slopes may still harbor some buried facets or surface hoar.
Avalanche
A number of small glide avalanches were observed from last week above Hwy 97.
