I found 1-2 ft of new snow and thicker wind deposits around the Tilly Jane area. Unsurprisingly, after a stormy week, I didn't have to travel far to find signs of instability and a few large (to very large) natural avalanches that ran during the loading event. Instabilities were mainly confined to wind-drifted snow and new snow layers.

Snowpack
At lower elevations, I observed 25-30 cm of new snow over the 3/21 crust. The snow accumulations became progressively deeper as I gained elevation.
As I crested into the burn, wind-affected surfaces became more widespread. Leeward aspects held reactive slabs that ranged 1-2 ft deep. Surface wind slabs ranged from 4F+ to 1F.
Digging around between 5 and 6100 ft, I generally found instabilities involving new snow layers in the upper 25-50 cm of the snowpack. These layers ( 25 cm down/ 50 cm down) produced SP results but failed to propagate in longer columns.
The new snow became slabbier as I gained elevation, even in the trees. The riding was thick and heavy, especially later in the afternoon as temps started to ride.
Wet snow surfaces became prominent below 4500 ft and on solar aspects as the morning progressed.
