Quick report

Cracking
isolated

Went out on a solo tour to break up a road trip I was taking from Utah to Brookings. Around 12" of new snow was observed above 6000 feet with high winds causing drifts and small wind slabs to form. Ski quality was decent with denser snow falling on a sun crust (could only feel the underlying crust in thinner areas). Cracking was observed in isolated-convex areas were winds had deposited additional amounts of consolidated snow. No propagation was observed and any crumbling was isolated underfoot.
