Quick report

Snow Water Equivalent sample today with new snow at all sites of 60 cm (24"). The SWE density samples are at various locations from 11500 feet to 9990 feet. Densities ranged from 11% to 20 % from this Presidents Day storm cycle. Quite a bit of wind affect on the snowpack with wind slab forming above and right at tree line. Soft and not affected in the trees on the NW aspect I skied. 7 Meadows was good skiing today with ski penetration of around 30 cm. Did a Shovel shear test at upper site and had results of STE. Q1 at the base of new / old snow interface. Easy shear with a minimum pressure. Did not perform any other tests but no signs of instability were noted or observed. Lots of traffic on the Southside today. Be interested to see any observations, Deep Friday once again. Epic winter conditions. Yesterday it was over the knees, wind blew all night as usual post frontal action.
