Quick report

We skied from Hyalite to Blackmore today and did not observe any recent signs of instability. There was a sciff of new snow from Wednesday morning that was irrelevant from an avalanche point of view. 3 inches deep in the most wind loaded areas. There was an abundance of older wet loose debris and a lot of evidence of cornice failure or cornices being close to failure. It did not get hot enough today where we traveled for wet problems to be a concern. We observed the large avalanche on an unnamed peak that is mentioned in the avalanches subtext.

Spotted this large avalanche on a NE to E slope today from the top of Mt. Blackmore. Likely persistent slab with wet snow influence that maybe failed sometime last weekend or week.
