- <p>Noticed a couple natural soft wind slab avalanches that occurred today, while we were in the area. These were both around 1' deep and 50' wide, and on drifted east facing slopes at around 9300' in elevation. The avalanches were not very desrtuctive and didn't run especially far. They looked like they were triggered by cornice fall, and occurred durring periods of heavy snowfall and fairly strong winds.</p>

- <p>Wind slabs were pretty soft and non-threatening, especially since we avoided drifted slopes. But natural avalanches were occurring, so obviously a factor. Tomorrow's wind slabs in exposed lee terrain could be stiffer, thicker, wider, run farther, and be less manageable than they were today. </p>
Fine fluffy powder riding and skiing conditions. Deeper new snow at upper elevations.
