Quick report
Went back to Kwolh on Tues; had to do something other than falling into a lava hole like the previous day! 😱 Got a few more inches since Mon, and some patches of better visibility. Skinning up, the upper part of the open face looked less wind-affected than the day before, and the very top near the ridge was less scoured. Dropped from the ridge down the main east face on the powsurf and it was great! There are places where you can feel the old crust under the new snow about a foot down, everything seemed to be bonded well though and nothing moving/cracking/etc, and no signs of other slides/instability in the immediate area. Upper surface was nice light dry pow, something that we haven’t seen a lot of this season!
