Quick report
Things are pretty much what you'd expect given your advisories and obs the last few days.
Getting off the skin track we got several good collapses. Dug a pit at 8600 ft, east aspect (70 deg), 22 deg slope angle.
HS of 135 cmECTP 18 at 75 cm on fist hardness near surface facets (1 - 3 mm)A couple times we got ECTNs in the teens at 90 cm. Those columns did not fail on the lower weak layer.
Plenty of signs of instability and we avoided going on or below all avalanche terrain.
Saw the avalanche that was reported. Surprisingly we also saw a fair amount if tracks on the surrounding slopes. Most somewhat lower angle slopes but not where I would have wanted to travel.
Again, sorry for the late report. But no real surprises here!
