Quick report

We traveled up to the Blind Bull weather station from the Grey's River Road. Walking seemed to be the best choice given the amount of snow.  Overall the snow surface was settled powder/facets or thin/bare.

Snowpack

10-20 inches of snow on sheltered slopes at mid elevations. Southerly facing slopes were either bare or had a skiff of snow on them. On sheltered slopes we found the bottom half of the snowpack to be a generally frozen brick of crusts (1 Finger). The top half of the snowpack was weaker faceted snow (Fist). In some place there was a melt-freezecrust about 3-4" below the surface.
